Partners and Funders
As an Indigenous artist run media arts organization, ICMI is naturally outreaching to the Indigenous community through the participation of community events, and daily community life. ICMI is constantly forging new partnerships with artists, arts organizations, multi cultural organizations, Indigenous organizations, media, networks and like-minded organizations.
ICMI works with a wide range of communities in many locations. Mainly, ICMI engages with Artists, Indigenous community based organizations, media arts organizations, women’s support services, educational institutions, employment and training organizations, economic development programs, health and social service organizations, and youth based justice programs. ICMI also contributes the arts development in the Indigenous community through the participation in several national initiatives.

Urban Aboriginal Alternate High School
The Urban Aboriginal Alternate High School Program is for the adolescent who may be having difficulty coping in the present educational system, may have been out of school for awhile and/or is in need of assistance in returning to the mainstream school system. For the student who is ready to make a commitment to attend regularly and work consistently, we can provide an individualized program that offers a number of high school credits within an Aboriginal milieu.

The Odawa Native Friendship Centre is a non-profit organization serving the Aboriginal community in the Ottawa-Carleton Region of Eastern Ontario and surrounding communities. Odawa’s mandate is to enhance the quality of life for Aboriginal people in the Capital region. Odawa maintains a tradition of community, an ethic of self-help and development as well as providing traditional teachings from Elders. Odawa is an organization that offers various programs and services to people of all ages and where everyone is welcome.

Moose Cree First Nation is located on the northern end of Moose Factory Island, near the mouth of the mighty Moose River. The Island is approximately 13 miles south from the southern tip of James Bay. It is 186 miles north of Cochrane, Ontario. The closest urban centre is Timmins, Ontario. The neighbouring community is the town of Moosonee, which is located on the mainland approximately three miles from Moose Factory.

To respond to and carry out the collective will of all Mushkegowuk members. They are committed to providing responsible and accountable political leadership. The Mushkegowuk Council is dedicated to providing quality, equitable and accessible support and advisory services to respond to and meet the social, economic, cultural, educational, spiritual, and political needs of First Nations, thereby improving the quality of life for our people. The Mushkegowuk members include Attawapiskat, Kashechewan, Fort Albany, Moose Cree, Taykwa Tagamou, Chapleau Cree, Missanabie Cree Nations.

ICMI - Partner
The Primate's World Relief and Development Fund engages in community development, responds to emergencies, works to protect refugees, and educates and advocates for change. Their guiding principle is to listen and learn from partners. The PWRDF supports ICMI in a three year granting partnership which aids the development of the Indigenous community in the media sector.
