IIMMP

The Indigenous Interactive Multimedia Program began July 4th 2011 and student internships/placements begin the first week of November. To view student work, please click on the link for the IIMM Program at the bottom of the page. If you work for a multimedia company in the Ottawa area and would like to offer a four-month internship position, contact us .


Summer Solstice

ICMI will attended the Summer Solstice Aboriginal Festival held at Lebreton Flats in Ottawa, Ontario. It was a four day festival that included competition pow wow dancing, concerts, kids activities (such as petting zoo, games, etc.) happening June 16th - 21st.

Creefest 2011

Held in Moosenee this year, ICMI travelled to Creefest on July 11th and documented the festival. We held a video scavenger hunt for the youth and did crafts each day for children.

Maniwaki Pow Wow

Held the first weekend in June 2011 (3rd-5th), the Maniwaki Pow Wow was situated in Kitigan Zibi and was a traditional pow wow and parade. ICMI filmed interviews with dancers, vendors, MCs and various other people during the event. Check out our videos section for more!

Odawa Pow Wow

Held the last weekend in May, ICMI had a booth at the Odawa Pow Wow/Festival again this year

Great Moon Gathering

ICMI visited Cochrane and Moose Factory for the Great Moon Gathering and taught workshops with the youth
